Tasmanian Government to legalise paintball in 2015

The Tasmanian Government recently revealed plans to potentially legalise commercial paintball as part of a series of amendments to the countries current firearms act. Until now paintball had been outlawed in the country, despite being legal in surrounding Australia. The move will be considered in parliament as early as March 2015 and if successful will bring the sport to a great many eager paintball fans within Tasmania.

The move is also great news for the paintball industry as a whole, and presents great opportunities for new and existing paintball operators to reach out to a brand new market. One man in particular - Tom Shackcloth - has been lobbying the Tasmanian government to change the law for some time now. Having worked previously in the UK and Sydney paintball industries, Tom's ambition is to launch his own paintball centre in Southern Tasmania. If the amendment to the law is successful then Tom will get the green light to live out his dream.

Delta Force Paintball currently operates several paintballing centres in Australia - in addition to our paintball centres in the UK, Canada and New Zealand. We often entertain guests from Tasmania and the surrounding areas and look forward to welcoming even more Tasmanians to the world of paintball.
