On Wednesday, we had some troops returning from Afghanistan come down to play. We don’t know if they were here to hone their combat skills or just have some fun, all we know is that they had a great day with us!
In our experience, we’ve hosted a lot of stag do’s but none like the one that came last Saturday. The guys brought down a massive flashing beacon (like something you’d see on top of an emergency services vehicle) that we zip tied to a mask for them. It was powered with a battery the size of a rucksack that he strapped around his waist. Even when the stag was three fields away you could still see him from the basecamp!
Other strange news to report from Delta Force Paintball in Southampton: We celebrated the launch of Matt Damon’s new film ‘Green Zone’ with a days paintballing. In one of the games with no warning from any of the players, our boy Jonny Miller started the game with a “3, 2, 1, game on!” and was met with cries of “Matt Damon” in a ‘Team America’ esque way! Very weird!
We’re currently trying to refurbish our basecamp but we started work on our track instead as the winter weather has had it’s way with our centre.
Hopefully you’ll be seeing all sorts of improvements to Southampton’s number one paintball site soon!
