Delta Force Paintball game zone in focus: London Bus

You have been specially selected by the State Department to protect the American president on his good will tour of the UK. After an important, top-secret meeting with the heads of state, you and your team are escorting the president back to his vehicle when you suddenly come under attack. Communications are down so you retreat into a nearby woodland and take cover inside an old double-decker bus. Will you put your life on the line and protect the president until reinforcements arrive? The world is counting on you.

Terrorist Attack is one of many Delta Force signature game zones that first began making waves at Delta Force centres across the UK in the mid-nineties and has remained a stable favourite since. Although Terrorist Attack massively varies from centre to centre, the game zone usually comprises of a number of double-decker London buses surrounded by a wide variety of natural and man-made cover.

Even though a variation of the ‘Protect the President’ game rules is most commonly played on Terrorist Attack, this game zone was designed to work with a variety of game rules, such as ‘Team Deathmatch’, ‘Headquarters’ and ‘Capture the Flag’. In ‘Protect the President’, one team has to assign one of their members, usually the birthday boy or girl, stag or hen, as the president who has to wear a high-visibility jacket throughout the duration of the round. The defending team’s objective is to protect the president until the end of the round, while the attack team’s objective is to take out the president at any cost before the end of the game.

Since the Terrorist Attack game zone was introduced to Delta Force Paintball in Australia, it has since been renamed to ‘London After The Apocalypse’ and has been given some brand new features, such as red phone boxes, tube stations and an assortment of London landmarks. We are pleased to announce that all ‘Terrorist Attack’ game zones at Delta Force centres in the UK are due to be upgraded to the same standard as that of the Australian ‘London After The Apocalypse’ game zones by the end of 2011. The Delta Force construction team have all manner of game zone improvements and upgrades planned for 2011 so be sure to stay tuned to the Delta Force blog.
