What do I need to bring on the day?
Players should wear old, comfortable clothing and may also want to bring a change of clothes for the conclusion of the game. We strongly recommend boots with ankle support and deep tread/rubber soles - it can be muddy, wet and slippery in the woodlands. Some players may choose to wear wellies if it is muddy during the winter months – but it is up to each individual to decide if they want to choose a waterproof option rather than the safety of ankle support. Paintball gloves are available to buy at the centre, or you can bring your own. You may also want to bring some money for purchasing additional paintballs (we accept cash and credit/debit cards verified by PIN only – please note fees apply to the use of credit and debit cards).
Can I bring my own paintball equipment?
You can bring your own equipment to the centre, but it is always at the discretion of the Centre Manager whether you can use it. You can bring your own goggles, provided they are designed for paintball games and have not been modified in any way. You can bring your own gun, but only if it can operate from a Delta Force CO² bottle and subject to a chronograph test, and at the discretion of the Centre Manager. We do NOT allow any customers' own gas cylinders on site for ANY REASON.
Can I bring my own paintballs?
For health and safety reasons, and to maintain a consistent safety standard across all centres, you can only use paintballs issued by Delta Force on the day of your event.
How many paintballs will I need?
There is no way of knowing how many paintballs any individual will use, as it depends on how trigger-happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use. The average use across the entire the company (by Juniors and Adults) is 400-500 paintballs per person per day. You can purchase paintballs at the centre throughout the day, during the breaks between games.
How can I purchase additional items on the day?
Additional items such as paintballs, lunch, gloves and other paintball paraphernalia can be purchased from the on-site shop at national paintball centres via cash or card (verified by pin only). Please note we do not accept payment on site by cheque. The following fees apply when purchasing items on site:
| Cash | FREE |
| Debit cards | 53p |
| Credit cards | 2.32% |
In accordance with The Consumer Rights (Payments Surcharge) Regulations 2012 these fees reflect Delta Force Paintball’s actual costs in processing card transactions.
An optional 3% service charge is added to all transactions; this goes towards staff training, incentives and welfare
Is paintball suitable for children?
Parents need to know about the nature of the activity and decide for themselves whether their particular child is hardy, and mature enough to participate in paintball. To help you with this, we have compiled an 'Information for Parents' guide, which can be included in your information pack or requested from our friendly staff by calling 0844 477 5050 (Calls are charged at Lo-Call Rate). Please also see the FAQ concerning 'Minimum Age' below, for more information.
What is the minimum age?
The minimum age to play our national centres is 10 years old. This means that we consider the event to be suitable for 11th birthday parties, but not for 10th birthday parties (where some of those invited are likely to be 9 years of age). The minimum age at most of the Local Paintball Centres (denoted by the yellow icons on the 'Locations' page of this website) is 12 years old - as they do not usually provide 'full head goggle systems' (something we consider essential for the youngest of players). Please check the minimum age at Local Paintball Centres (should you wish to play there) by calling the booking office on 0844 477 5050. The equipment and level of supervision provided by Delta Force makes paintball safe for any age of player - so it's not the 'danger' involved that determines our age limit - rather the fact that the equipment is quite heavy, and it's all a bit scary for very young children. Even adults find the hairs on the back of their necks standing-up when a wave of 'enemy' players surges towards them, guns blazing. Little people would simply find this too intimidating. Some 10 year olds might find it too much as well, so if you are in any doubt, please drop-by one of the centres on a weekend, and have a look for yourself - the Centre Manager, would be delighted to arrange a tour for you. Our insurance is not limited by age - people of all ages are fully insured. Please note some of our centres offer mini paintball for 8-10 year olds. Please speak to one of our co-ordinators to find the closest venue to host your mini paintball event.
What food and drink is available at the centre?
Free tea and coffee is provided all day. All Delta Force Paintball Centres provide a hot and fresh 9" personal pizza for lunch (except Plymouth, where it is a giant pastie). The pizzas cost £4.99 and the pastie costs £3.99. Lunch can be added to all our YoungGunz packages for only £2.49 extra when making a booking. Everyone wanting a Pizza will be asked on the day to specify either Margherita (cheese and tomato - the vegetarian option) or Pepperoni (the meat option). Adult players will also be asked to decide whether or not they wish to order a pizza by 11.00am on the day of their event - this is to give the chefs in the Pizza shops time to prepare and deliver their creations. There is also a snack shop onsite where you can purchase chocolates, drinks, crisps, and more. For lunch options at local centres, please call our booking office on 0844 477 5115
Can we bring alcohol to the centre?
No alcohol is permitted on site. Any players who have been drinking will be excluded from the games and asked to leave the centre.
What days are you open?
Most of our national centres are open almost 365 days a year. We do strongly recommend booking your desired date well in advance to avoid disappointment. To check availability, please contact the booking office on 0844 477 5050.
What happens on the day?
On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will check you in. After you have filled out registration forms you will be kitted up with all the gear needed for the day and undergo a compulsory safety briefing. Then the action starts! You will play 10-12 varied games during a full day session, with short refreshment breaks in between to reload your paintballs and discuss tactics!
Do I need to fill out a registration form?
All players attending a national paintball centre are required to complete our registration form before they begin play. Players under 16 years must have their form signed by an adult; we suggest you send these out with your invitations. The other parents should return their completed registration forms for you to bring to the paintball centre on the day of the event. Our Parental Consent form that is required at national paintball centres can be downloaded here. For players attending a local centre, you may need to complete different forms on arrival.
How many players do I need to bring?
There is no minimum or maximum number of players required; any group size is fine (although we may require a minimum of 20 players to open a site for a midweek game). You will be joined with other players on the day to make up a team. To have a private paintball game playing against members of your own group, you will need to bring a minimum of 40 players.
Will my child be playing with adults?
Where possible we will join your group with a group of similar age. However, there are often groups of mixed ages (when parents like to play with their children, or there are older siblings joining in etc).
I’m not sure how many players I have, but I want to book now so that I don’t miss out on the date I want. What should I do?
You can make your booking now for the players that you have confirmed, assuring you your desired game date. You can then add additional players onto your booking up until a few days before your event.
What do I do if I get lost trying to find the centre?
To avoid getting lost we suggest you make sure all drivers in your group print the directions from the website and take these with them. Our directions are for guidance only, we recommend using a road map for more precise directions. If you do have trouble finding the centre, call us on 0844 477 5050 (Calls are charged at Lo-Call Rate) and one of our friendly staff will assist you in finding your centre. Please note that our Head Office is based in Surrey and may not be aware of specific incidents in the area, such as road closures and road works. However, we will be able to put you in contact with someone who can assist you further.
What happens if it rains?
The games go ahead regardless, in all weather conditions. All the game zones are outdoors, but there are sheltered areas and lockers in the base camp where you can store your gear between games.
What times can we play?
A full day session is 9:15am until approximately 4:00 - 4:30pm at most of our national centres. At local centres, operating times differ – please contact our booking office for more details.
What happens if a player does not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them?
All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, credits can be carried forward and used for a future booking.
Can I use the paintballs if a player does not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them?
Unfortunately not. If anyone fails to attend the event on the date you have booked, the prepayment and paintballs for that person will be forfeited for the day. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, however credits can be carried forward and used for a future visit.
