Delta Force Paintball FAQs

What do I need to bring on the day?

Players should wear old, comfortable clothing and may also want to bring a change of clothes for the conclusion of the game. The most suitable footwear would be a light boot, but old trainers are most commonly worn. Gloves are available to buy at the centre, or you can bring your own. You may also want to bring some money for purchasing additional paintballs (we accept cash and credit/debit cards verified by PIN only).

Can I bring my own paintball equipment?

You can bring your own equipment to the centre, but it is always at the discretion of the Centre Manager whether you can use it. You can bring your own goggles, provided they are designed for paintball games and have not been modified in any way. You can bring your own gun, but only if it can operate from a Delta Force CO² bottle and subject to a chronograph test, and at the discretion of the Centre Manager. We do NOT allow any customers' own gas cylinders on site for ANY REASON.

Can I bring my own paintballs?

For health and safety reasons, and to maintain a consistent safety standard across all centers you can only use paintballs issued by Delta Force on the day of your event.

How many paintballs will I need?

There is no way of knowing how many paintballs any individual will use, as it depends on how trigger-happy you are. It is entirely up to each person how many paintballs they want to use. You can purchase paintballs at the centre throughout the day, during the breaks between games. Paintballs can also be purchased prior to the game day through our booking office on 0844 477 5050 (Calls are charged at Lo-Call Rate).

Is paintball suitable for children?

Parents need to know about the nature of the activity and decide for themselves whether their particular child is hardy, and mature enough to participate in paintball. To help you with this, we have compiled an 'Information for Parents' guide, which can be included in your information pack or requested from our friendly staff by calling 0844 477 5050 (Calls are charged at Lo-Call Rate).

What is the minimum age?

The minimum age to play our national centres is 11 years old. However, we do allow children who have already turned 10 to play, provided there is an adult present for the entire day. The minimum age at most of our Local Centres is 12 years old. Please check the minimum age at our Local Centres by calling the booking office on 0844 477 5050.

What food and drink is available at the centre?

Free tea and coffee is provided all day. A BBQ lunch is available on the day for £4.35 per person. There is also a snack shop onsite where you can purchase chocolates, drinks, crisps, and more.

Can we bring alcohol to the centre?

No alcohol is permitted on site. Any players who have been drinking will be excluded from the games and asked to leave the centre.

What happens on the day?

On arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who will check you in. After you have filled out registration forms you will be kitted up with all the gear needed for the day and undergo a compulsory safety briefing. Then the action starts! You will play 10-12 games during a full day session, with short refreshment breaks in between to reload your paintballs and discuss tactics!

Do I need to fill out a registration form?

All players are required to complete a registration form before they begin play. Players under 16 years must have their form signed by an adult; we suggest you send these out with your invitations. The other parents should return their completed registration forms for you to bring to the paintball centre on the day of the event. Our Parental Consent Form can be downloaded here.

Adult players can complete registration forms on arrival at the paintball centre, but we suggest you complete them in advance to speed up your check in time. Please contact our Booking Office to send out the required number of registration forms so that you can complete them in advance.

How many players do I need to bring?

There is no minimum or maximum number of players required; any group size is fine (although we may require a minimum of 20 players to open a site for a mid week game). You will be joined with other players on the day to make up a team.

Will my child be playing with adults?

Where possible we will join your group with a group of similar age. However, there are often groups of mixed ages (when parents like to play with their children, or there are older siblings joining in etc).

I’m not sure how many players I have, but I want to book now so that I don’t miss out on the date I want. What should I do?

You can make your booking now for the players that you have confirmed, assuring you your desired game date. You can then add additional players onto your booking up until a few days before your event.

What do I do if I get lost trying to find the centre?

To avoid getting lost we suggest you make sure all drivers in your group print the directions from the website and take these with them. Our directions are for guidance only, we recommend using a road map for more precise directions. If you do have trouble finding the centre, call us on 0844 477 5050 (Calls are charged at Lo-Call Rate) and one of our friendly staff will assist you in finding your centre. Please note that our Head Office is based in Surrey and may not be aware of specific incidents in the area, such as road closures and road works. However, we will be able to put you in contact with someone who can assist you further.

What happens if it rains?

The games go ahead regardless, in all weather conditions. All the game zones are outdoors, but there are sheltered areas and lockers in the base camp where you can store your gear between games.

What times can we play?

A full day session is 9:15am until approximately 4:00 - 4:30pm at most of our National Centres. At Thetford Forest, the day is 10:00am until approximately 3:00-4:00pm.

What happens if a player does not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them?

All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, credits can be carried forward and used for a future booking.

Can I use the paintballs if a player does not turn up on the day and I have already paid for them?

Unfortunately not. If anyone fails to attend the event on the date you have booked, the prepayment and paintballs for that person will be forfeited for the day. All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, however credits can be carried forward and used for a future visit.
