For paintball in Galshiels we recommend the following centre(s):
Galashiels is a busy and often visited town between Carlisle and Edinburgh on the Scottish border. The Gala Water River flows through the cities heart through to open woodlands making the area ideal for a daily stroll.
Galashiels made its mark in the textile market in the late seventeen hundreds. However the town’s boom came to an abrupt halt due to its inadequate access to water and sanitation. Devastated by three outbreaks of cholera in 1849, the area slowly began rebuilding its tattered image.
A striking and impressive feature of the town is the clock tower named the Burgh Chambers. The tower, added to the original chambers in the 1920’s, contains Galashiels war memorial, commemorating 635 fallen soldiers who were killed during the First World War.
Galashiels town centre hosts an array of specialty shops and fantastic restaurants known for their Scottish favre. Visitors have their choice of cosy bed and breakfasts to enjoy after browsing through the towns fine selection of quality tweeds and woollen goods, in high demand throughout the world.
